The Unity Vocational Training Centre (VTC) – focused on training students in services required by the hospitality industry – opened its doors on Monday 2 March 2020. Adding to the Unity Team is Shelter Mphofu, with Darren Smit in position of intern.
The VTC students are settled, have addressed safety as part of the health and safety curriculum, and are enthused to have an opportunity to learn independence and job skills to one day offer to the workplace at large.
Kitchen equipment (including crockery) was taken to VTC this week, where unpacking, cleaning and setting up (all part of health and safety) of the coffee shop is taking place.
