Senor Chef fundraiser
Watch out for the Senor Chef order forms which will be sent home with learners during the first week of term. This is an excellent opportunity to stock up on quality products from Ina Paarman (think cake mixes, salad dressing and family favourite hampers), Senor Chef herbs and spices (no MSG, no colourants, no preservatives and non-radurised), as well as deli products and plastic bags.
Each child will come home with a coloured brochure and five order forms. We ask parents to assist in taking orders from neighbours, friends, family and colleagues. (Please remember that no pupil under the age of 15 is permitted to do door-to-door sales.) Each learner who manages to fill all five order forms will be entered into a lucky draw for a prize! Deadline for orders is Monday, 5 August – please return all order forms (even the empty ones) to your class teacher by then.
Volunteers needed for Soap Box Derby
Unity College will be hosting the inaugural Soap Box Derby on Saturday, 27 July. This will be a celebration of diversity, as we’ve invited other schools to participate too! The PTA will be selling boerewors rolls and cold drinks on the day. As always, we’ll need volunteers to help braai the sausage, and to sell cold drinks and other snacks. Please e-mail Zelda to indicate your availability to assist.
The PTA is very happy to have confirmed The Anchor venue for the Spring Ball on 19 September.
Tickets for the event will go on sale soon!
R550 per person, or R5000 for a table of 10 people.
Please start thinking about who you could invite to this fundraising event. Money raised will go towards the school’s Legacy Fund to support learners whose families cannot afford school fees. So please support this initiative!
