We were blessed to meet Warren Barrington, the owner of Lior’s Coffee Hogs.
Warren graciously provided the hot beverages for our Birthday | Senior Market event. Not only did he share 25% of his takings for the morning (when the agreement was way less), but really touched our hearts with the story behind the name and branding of the mobile coffee unit. Thank you Warren for your generosity and sharing your story with us.
Lior, our son, was born terminally ill in 2010. He had Trisomy 18, a chromosome disorder, which caused him to have some severe disabilities. Lior means “my light” and because Lior brought a lot of people together, and coffee brings people together, we thought it apt to name our business after the little light of our lives. We were told that Lior would never make it through the pregnancy, and when he did, the night he was born the doctors told us he would live for maximum one hour only. Lior surpassed this then the doctors diagnoses moved to 3 days then three weeks and a maximum of 18 months – we had Lior with us for a precious 4 years, until he passed a week after his 4th birthday. Should you wish to get any more info., Lior’s Mommy has a blog where she writes letters to Lior. Lior-mylight.blogspot.com.
