The senior phase learners held their annual camp at Konka in the North West province. The three-day outing was filled with activities aimed at developing personal skills such as problem solving, working in a team, overcoming personal fears and the general independence of being away from the comforts of home.
Each of our learners gained unforgettable experiences by participating in the activities: kayaking, zip line, mud obstacles, drumming, balancing and many others.
Thank you to our learners for their excellent behaviour on camp. The Konka Staff and other Schools complimented Unity on their well-behaved learners. Thank you to our Unity Staff members, Shadreck Chidakwa, Esme Pelser and Darren Smit who supervised the camp.
Thank you Mrs Janine Byrne for being our Senior Camp Mom and doing such a great job at reporting back on Camp.

Our Senior learners are at camp Konka.
They arrived safely on Monday (23 April 18), settled into dorms, and immediately got ready for “ice-breakers”. We will have to wait for them to return to give us a heads up on what exactly ice-breakers are, and or entail. Sounds interesting…
So we are told that they slept well and woke up in high spirits today (24/04), ready to take on the days events. While camp teaches our students, among other things team building, it’s also a huge amount of fun with their peers which is important too!
We will let their pictures tell their story thus far…
