What talents, hobbies or interests does Kayla have?
She loves to swim and spends hours in the pool in summer and has been known to jump into the pool in winter! She loves to go on the tandem mountain bike with her Dad. She loves singing and going out to restaurants.
What fun activities do you like to do as a family?
We go mountain biking on the weekends and we love to go camping. We generally love adventures!
What therapies or interventions have benefitted Kayla the most?
We did sign language with her when she was really small which helped her communicate before she could speak and then speech therapy to aid the signing. She also did OT from very small and we leant to incorporate the various exercises into our daily life to strengthen her. She has done horse-riding for a number of years on and off which really helps strengthen her core.
What are your dreams for your child?
We wish for her to have as independent life as possible as an adult, have work that fulfils her and empowers her and hopefully get married one day and share her life with someone she loves and who loves and cherishes her.
