School uniforms
Last term we introduced a new school uniform that will be phased in during 2019. Parents with daughters at our school, culottes are available from School and Leisure, in Lonehill.
Karri cashless system
Unity College aims to become a cash-free environment. (Read original article here.) Parents and guardians can download the Karri App from their website.
Swimming lessons
We are happy to announce that we will continue our association with Aqua Marine Swimming Academy this year. (Read original article here). The Junior and Senior Phase learners will have their swimming lesson on a Monday, and the Intermediate Phase learners will swim on Wednesdays.
Extra murals
Extra Murals are offered to teach our learners important life lessons. When a child is exposed to different extramural activities, they begin to develop various skills and understandings, including vital life skills such as learning to swim or how to catch a ball etc. The schedule for first term is available.
Tuckshop
For the first term, the tuckshop will be open on Mondays and Wednesdays. Boerewors rolls = R25 | Cold drinks = R10 | Crisps = R10
PTA
The PTA aims to organize activities that will build community and raise funds for the school. We’d like to see one parent from each class join the PTA. Please e-mail pta@unity-college.org.za to find out how you can get involved.
